Document Delivery Service

The section is committed to serving library users by   assisting with various functions related to the location and circulation of library materials. Library circulation comprises the activities around the lending of library books and other material to users of the library.

Privileges:

Student

Student User May Borrow three books from General Section for a loan period of fourteen days and one book from reference section (Overnight Reference)

Faculty Member

Faculty member can borrow fifteen books at a time (ten from general section and five from reference section)

Timing of this section:

Monday & Tuesday : 8 am - 6:30pm

Wednesday   : 8 am - 6:30 pm ( 12 - 1 Wednesday Gathering ) 

Thursday      : 8 am - 6:30 pm

Friday     : 8 am - 6:30 pm

Saturday      : 8:30 am - 12:30pm 

Loan Period:

Students 

General Section: 40 days (the students have to renew the book on or before 14th day of issue).

Reference Document: Overnight Reference Only

Faculty Member

General Section    : 30 days

Reference             : 7 days

Overdue Charges:

General Section: Rs. 1 per day

Reference Documents: Rs. 2 per Hour

Book Bank

     The collection consists of prescribed text-books in paperback editions. This collection will be  loaned out for one semester to the students. The text-books to be included in this collection are recommended by the Heads of the Department. The Students have to pay a consolidated amount at the time of admission. The amount collected  so will be refunded at the time of leaving the institution. The book bank scheme is basically for MBA and MCA Students.
 

Reference and Information Service:

Reference service is provided to all users of the Library. It essentially consists of providing reading materials or assisting in locating the materials held in the library. The reference collection of print and electronic sources includes general reference tools, materials in many cognate and interdisciplinary fields.  Staff provides services such as directions and library information. Informal instruction in the organization and use of print and electronic library tools is provided. Telephone reference service is provided Monday to Friday 8am-6:30pm, Saturday 8:30am-12:30pm at 91-469-2730305.

Current Awareness Service:

Current awareness services are an alert to recently published literature in their fields of specialization. The list of latest additions along with full bibliographic details and along with contents will be published on website on the next day of arrival of document. Email based alert of new additions and latest contents of the journals is also provided to user community of MLIC.

Newspaper Clippings:

 The clipping file is a large collection of articles of institutional interest which have been gathered from a variety of newspapers. The articles range in date from the 2001 to the present. Articles may be viewed or copied from the library.

KOHA:

Online Public Access Catalog   is an online database of materials held by a library. KOHA assists users to locate books, periodicals, audio/visual materials or other items under control of a library (Visit http://koha.macfast.co.in) .

Publications:

Business Ethics written by Dr. Mathew Illathuparampil is a promising book that fills a long empty niche in business ethics in India. It offers an excellent account of the state of the art in accessible language. It is a beautiful guide for both students and professionals of business administration.
